Spooktacular Fun in San Diego

Trick-or-treating may be a hallowed Halloween tradition, but there are plenty of other fun ways for families to indulge in a spooktacular Halloween throughout October in San Diego!

Lots of Happy Haunts for Parents and Kids

When it comes to great times for families in San Diego, Halloween can’t be contained to just one day. From ingeniously themed happenings at our world-class attractions to happily haunted landmarks all around town, the Halloween treats fill up enough of the fall season here to satisfy any family’s appetite for fun.

In fact, San Diego’s Halloween spirit springs to life as early as September at the region’s world-class attractions, with such signature events as SeaWorld San Diego’s Halloween Spooktacular, LEGOLAND California’s Brick-or-Treat, the San Diego Zoo’s Halgloween, and The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular at Sesame Place San Diego.

Area museums and other hotspots get in on the spooky fun, too, from the Haunted Hangar Halloween Bash aboard the USS Midway Museum to Halloween Aglow at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps.

And on top of all that, great deals such as San Diego passes to local attractions mean you won’t have to scare up as many dollars to indulge in all the offerings. In fact, all of October is Kids Free month here, meaning youngsters can eat, stay and play at scores of locations for no extra charge.

There’s so much to like about Halloween for families in San Diego that it’s almost frightening. So be sure to check back here starting in September for updated event details and new things to do — and then start making plans for a memorable fall visit!
