Each year the Del Mar National attracts more than 1,500 horses representing many breeds across three distinctly different disciplines – Western, Dressage, and Hunter/Jumper. Spectators will see world-class performances in reining with its famous spins and sliding stops, elegant and athletic dressage moves choreographed to music, and nail-biting daredevil show jumping! Evening events feature trick riders, comedy acts, thrills and spills, and breed demonstrations, among many other exciting acts. The competition for prize money, trophies, and ribbons is fierce!

7th Annual San Diego Asian Film Festival Spring Showcase

Pacific Arts Movement (Pac Arts) is proud to present the 7th Annual San Diego Asian Film Festival Spring Showcase, an eight-day festival bringing more than 20 films from 10 countries to Ultrastar Mission Valley, Hazard Center from April 20 to April 27, 2017. This year’s program is the largest one yet, ranging from socially-minded documentaries to uplifting comedies, all tied together in a spirit of celebrating filmmakers, documentarians and those who exhibit and explore freedom through the art of film.

Our annual EarthFair in Balboa Park is the largest free annual environmental fair in the world. EarthFair 2017 will be our 28th annual event! Each year, the EarthFair draws around 60,000 visitors. Produced by 300 volunteers, EarthFair 2017 will feature more than 300 exhibitors, special theme areas, a Food Pavilion, a special Children’s Activity Area, four entertainment venues, the Children’s Earth Parade, the eARTh Gallery arts and crafts show, and the Cleaner Car Concourse.

Then I would pack the bicycle panniers with a picnic lunch for the wife and I and we would ride over to Mission Trails for some trail riding and then a lovely lunch under the shade by the river. After the ride home, a shower and a nap would follow. Once rested, we would head out to the Blind Lady and enjoy a local brew and some organic pizza.If you were invisible, where would you go?Area 51! I would love to know what they are doing that is so top secret.What is your favorite San Diego outdoor activity?So many choices, but if I have to pick one I would choose bikingrunningsoccerbocceball. Though sitting outside with a good book on a sunny day would come in close second.Do you prefer burgers and beer or linguine and red wine?Nothing could be better than a San Diego Craft Beer (Hess, Stone, Ballast Point, Automatic, and many many more) and a burger with onion rings and BBQ-sauce. Though you will often find me boiling some pasta with a glass of wine in my hand and Ratatouille on in the background.Latest music purchases for my iPod/MP3 player are…A few albums by Jonathan Coulton, the ultimate geek musician.
