My kids LOVE going to museums! And who can blame them…SD museums are the BEST! I think my 7-year-old is going to love the new Space exhibit. He wants to be an astronaut when he grows-up – so the Air and Space Museum NEVER gets old!

It’s important to get your children into something new so they can grow & learn from it. I would like my kids to see more this summer

I would love to take my daughter to the Birch Aquarium for the first time this summer. She’d be so excited to see all the underwater creatures! We’ve been to R.H Fleet for the Kids Town exhibit and she loved it. I can’t wait for more trips to SD’s museums!

This year we have a family pass to Museum of Man so we can take all of the grandkids – and, perhaps, a parent or two – many times. We love Balboa Park and all of the museums. The new interactive display at Reuben H. sounds like it will be a great hit with the grands. Winning some free passes would be fantastic!

I love all the museums of Balboa Park, but these days it’s my four year old son who dictates the itinerary… Dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum, the hands on science exhibits at the Fleet, and the Model Railroad Museum where we both d…rool over toys that we could never have at our tiny home… But, by far the best was a rainy afternoon at the Aerospace Museum. I was thrilled when he actually “got it” when he realized that the Apollo capsule was a real spacecraft and the spacesuits were worn by astronauts (which he wanted to try on).
Thank you to all of the museums and historic institutions that add depth and beauty to our lives…

I would have to say the Air and Space Museum because I was born and raised in San Diego and my dad worked for Ryan Aeronautical for over 30 years.
He loved planes and flight and I learned to love them too from him!
Don’t live in SD anymore, but I was there when the first Air and Space Museum burned to the ground, and I was finally able to return last Memorial Day weekend and visit the new one…it was wonderful!
