Fleet Week San Diego 2016

Fleet Week San Diego honors the men and women of the military through public events and alliances that support and thank these heroes throughout the year. Events such as the Coronado Speed Festival, Enlisted Golf Tournament, Enlisted Recognition Luncheon and Miramar Air Show are sell-outs year after year, and provide a way for the San Diego community to interact with the military in otherwise restricted ways.

US Sand Sculpting Challenge and Dimensional Art Exposition
A 4-day extravaganza for the whole family! World Master Sand Sculptors come from Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands and Canada, from exotic places like Latvia and Singapore, to challenge the best in the U.S. Their 3-dimensional art is astounding. Oh, and there’s live entertainment (big bands, singers and more), a sand box and rides for kids, a dozen gourmet food trucks, a great view of the bay, tall ships and cannon battles.

1812 Tchaikovsky Spectacular

Festival of Sail
The largest Tall Ship festival on the west coast. KGB Sky Show
Each year since the mid-70’s, KGB radio station has hosted a spectacular San Diego tradition, the KGB Sky Show™. It is a beautiful production blending multi-media, theatrical lighting, video and special effects to enhance the fireworks display. KGB Sky Show 41 takes place immediately following the SDSU Aztecs football game vs. New Hampshire.
