With 100+ floral interpretations of masterworks of art and four flower-filled days of events, Art Alive returns for its 37th year. Created by top local and national designers, these floral interpretations can be seen April 26 – April 29, 2018. This year Art Alive honors the opening of Nancy Lorenz: Moon Gold. Natasha Lisitsa and Daniel Schultz, the wife-and-husband team behind Waterlily Pond Studio will transform the John M. and Sally B. Thornton Rotunda into a botanical masterpiece.

For 17 years, Hornblower has offered this popular, pup-friendly Pet Day on San Diego Bay which consistently serves up a tail-wagging good time! Hornblower invites dogs to cruise for free with their owners. People board for just $27 per ticket, and guests are also encouraged to contribute a gently used blanket or towel that will warm needy animals at Helen Woodward Animal Center.
Adams Avenue Unplugged

Adams Avenue Unplugged, a free musical walkabout, takes place April 28, 2018 along a two-mile stretch of Adams Avenue, from University Heights on the West through Normal Heights, and into parts of Kensington to the East. The event will feature live musical performances staged inside restaurants, bars, coffee houses and galleries lining the neighborhood. Being able to pair the Avenue’s unique dining and drinking establishments, each with their own special ambiances and selections, with free musical performances, makes Adams Avenue the place to be on the last weekend of April.
Annual Motorcars on Mainstreet Car Show

Where: Downtown Coronado – Isabella & Orange Avenues, Coronado, CA 92118
Coronado MainStreet hosts an annual car show, MotorCars on MainStreet, featuring over 400 pre-73 restored classic, rod and custom cars & trucks. The event is held in downtown Coronado, one block from the beach, at Isabella & Orange Avenues, usually on the last Sunday in April from 10:00 to 3:00 PM. Co-Sponsors Ron Baker Chevrolet, the City of Coronado and the County of San Diego welcome participants and spectators to the grand gathering. There is live music featuring The Cat-illacs and drawings throughout the day.
Chocolate Festival

This popular annual event with over 15 vendors showcasing and sampling various types of chocolate has something for every palette.
