Sr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas

When: Thru December 29, 2018
Where: The Old Globe
A classic Dr. Seuss book comes to life on the Old Globe’s stage with How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Back for its 21st year, this family favorite features beloved tunes such as “You’re a Mean one, Mr. Grinch” and “Santa for a Day.” Carol your way through the holiday season with the snow-covered Whoville transformed Old Globe Theatre.

 Paint your Pet

When: November 10, 2018
Where: San Diego Museum of Man
What better way to honor your pet than with a portrait of them, painted by yours truly? Let the Museum of Man guide you through painting (hu)man’s best friend with the assistance of local artist Paul Naylor. No need to bring anything but a picture of your pet, as supplies are provided by the museum. This event is in conjunction with the Museum of Man’s Living with Animals exhibit and will run from 1:30 to 3:30 PM.

C-Note Pop-Up Art Sale

When: November 9-11
Where: San Diego Art Institute
Claim your stake of contemporary artwork at San Diego Art Institute’s pop-up art sale. This event—which has a cult-like following—returns with a thoughtfully curated experience offering an array of art for the entry-level art collector. Want first dibs on a piece? Culture & Cocktails Presents: Reflect

A Culture and Cocktail inspired event with the privilege of experiencing Tim Shaw’s Beyond Reason in a singular, rarified environment—cocktail in hand. This event will provide you with much that you love about Culture and Cocktails—innovative cocktails, photo opportunities, tantalizing treats, hands on art making and intriguing activations—while exploring global terrorism, freedom of speech and artificial intelligence via six thought-provoking installations.

Steve McQueen SPEED Grand Finale

When: November 15, 2018
Where: San Diego Air and Space Museum
Rev your way to the San Diego Air and Space Museum for the grand finale of the SPEED exhibition with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the featured car from the movie Bullitt. The 1968 Ford Mustang that Steve McQueen raced up and down the streets of San Francisco will be on display for a VIP reception where you can enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres and of course, THE car that made history. The event will run from 6:30 to 9:30 PM with tickets costing $50 per person.
