Calling all classic movie buffs! On July 21st, the Balboa Theatre will be presenting a unique showing of silent films accompanied by a live organist.
Silent Film collector and aficionado Joe Rinaduo will screen a number of rare and classic silent films made between 1900-1920’s projected on a restored, hand-crank Cameragraph. Accompanying the films will be organist Dean Mora on the Balboa Theatre Foundation’s 1929 Wonder Morton Organ. Films screened will include the rare and fun-filled footage of Trip to the Moon, as featured in Martin Scorsese’s Academy Award winning film Hugo, Hal Roach’s gadget comedy It’s a Gift and Laurel & Hardy’s Big Business.
Reserved seating for all movies is $25
