Jahja Ling’s Finale
On this historic Season Finale weekend, Jahja Ling’s outstanding thirteen years of service as the San Diego Symphony’s Music Director comes to a magnificent end. For these concerts he will be joined by longtime colleague and dear friend Yefim Bronfman for Johannes Brahms’ monumental Piano Concerto No. 2. The program will close with Maestro Ling leading the Orchestra in a performance of Jean Sibelius’ chillingly brilliant, awe-inspiring masterpiece, his Symphony No. 2.

Balboa Park After Dark
This summer, Balboa Park comes alive after 5. On Fridays from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, enjoy extended evening hours at eight museums, as well as food trucks and entertainment throughout the Park.

Valley Center Stampede Rodeo & Festival
This year will be no exception, and we invite you to come enjoy Valley Center’s family-friendly rodeo and community festival. The community festival will feature vendors, western arts & crafts, food booths, live bands, a horseshoe tournament, beer gardens and more. After enjoying the festival, the community is invited to head to the rodeo grandstands for a full rodeo event lineup, followed by a live band and dancing on both Friday and Saturday night.

Fiesta Botanica
Celebrate spring in Balboa Park amid the region’s most spectacular historical gardens at Fiesta Botanica. The family-friendly festival kicks off with a foral Wagon Parade along El Prado and continues with horticultural-themed lectures and demonstrations, hands-on activities for kids, live entertainment, tours of the park’s historic gardens, majestic butterfly releases, open-air sketching stations, plant sales, and food trucks.

Vista Strawberry Festival
The Vista Strawberry Festival is the only festival in San Diego County that celebrates all the joys and pleasure of the Strawberry. Vista was once the “Strawberry Capital of the World” and still boasts many strawberry fields.
