The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch

Brain: The World Inside Your Head

Ever wanted to explore one of human’s greatest remaining mysteries? The Fleet Science Center’s new exhibit, “Brain: The World Inside Your Head” does just that by giving visitors an exclusive, up-close look at the brain. Through large-scale sets and interactive elements, visitors can learn about some of the latest brain research, understand how the brain works and compare different animal brains. The all-ages exhibit is on display now through April 26. This is a perfect idea for a family outing or day date at the park!
Little Women at The Old Globe

The west coast premiere of the latest adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel will land at The Old Globe theater March 14 through April 19. Named Wall Street Journal’s Playwright of the Year in 2017, Kate Hamill brings a modern, inclusive perspective to the March sisters’ story. Whether you’re a Jo, a Meg or completely new to the story, you’ll fall in love with Hamill’s contemporary telling.
Mission Federal ArtWalk

One of San Diego’s largest arts celebrations, Mission Federal ArtWalk returns April 25 and 26. From 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day, watch as both visual and performing arts takeover 16 blocks of San Diego’s lively Little Italy. Enjoy musical and dance performances, local art vendors, and interactive experiences. Plus, plenty of great food and drinks to keep the party going all weekend long.
LEGO Movie World

Channel the inner kid in you at LEGOLAND California’s all new land: LEGO Movie World, opening late March. Based on the blockbuster films The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Movie 2, the land will immerse visitors in the world of both films with intricate LEGO models and attractions such as Emmet’s Flying Adventure and Unikitty’s Disco Drop.

The Trust Restaurant Group, which owns SD favorites Fort Oak and Trust, worked their magic on this new, spacious all-day dining concept in Mission Hills. Cardellino houses a café, bakery, restaurant, wine shop and, in time, to-go scoops from house-made Mr. Trustee ice cream. During the day, stop in for light pastries, baked goods and a hot cuppa. By night, the restaurant serves up Italian American eats of fresh pastas and pizzas.

Liberty Call Distilling Co.

Long-loved distilling company Liberty Call is opening a new Barrio Logan restaurant slated to open its doors April 2. With views of the Coronado bridge in tow, the indoor-outdoor concept offers a menu of mouth-watering eats like bone marrow tartare and drunken mussels from local chef Miguel Valdez. To quench your thirst, look to their selection of cocktails made from their craft spirits.
House of Joy at San Diego Repertory Theatre
