Chicest Shopping Streets in San Diego

My ideal shopping day is being able to park and step outside to an array of unique shopping choices. San Diego has many chic shopping streets and these are just a few of my fav’s!

Mission Hills

West Lewis Street in Mission Hills

The 1600 block of West Lewis Street and the 900 block of Fort Stockton Dr. are located in the quaint neighborhood of Mission Hills. Whether you are shopping for cards, home goods, women’s fashions, jewelry, accessories, or salon services, the following will accomplish it all: “With Love” Boutique (gifts, books and paperie), LeBelAge Boutique (women’s fashions, jewelry and accessories), Salon Bella (Rock Star pedicures), Taboo Studio (jewelry). Just a few blocks away you will come to Cecilia Boutique (women’s fashions, shoes, jewelry and accessories), Maison en Provence (French home goods) and California Flourish (perfume, jewelry and home goods).

Little Italy

Fir and India in Little Italy

Fir and India Street and the 400 block of Cedar Street, located in the electric neighborhood Little Italy, are two more bona fide chic streets. Shopping goals will be met for women’s, men’s, children’s fashions; jewelry; accessories; home goods and salon services. The shops include: Melero Boutique (women’s fashions, jewelry, and accessories), Be Beauty (women’s fashions, children’s, local jewelry, accessories, and salon), Vitreum (Imported Japanese home goods and jewelry), Rosa Mariposa (Imported jewelry) and Carol Gardyne Boutique (women’s fashions, scarves, and jewelry).  Walk a couple blocks to Cedar Street and visit Vocabulary Boutique (women’s and men’s fashions, jewelry, accessories, and children).

South Park

30th and Fern in South Park

Just east of Balboa Park at 30th and Fern Street is the urban-eco friendly neighborhood South Park. The shops target women’s, men’s, children’s, pet fashions, accessories, home goods, furniture and art. Visit Junc Life and Style Boutique (women’s and men’s fashions, shoes, accessories, and jewelry), Make Good Boutique (a collection of artisans for hand-made, up-cycled  fashions, jewelry and accessories), Bad Madge and Company (new and vintage women and men’s fashions, accessories, home goods and furniture), Mythology Boutique (eco-friendly women and men’s fashions, accessories, jewelry, and custom designed belts), The Carriage Boutique (organic clothing for children, and pet fashions).

About Sandra

Being a local Fashion Stylist I love sharing and connecting people with the latest "boutiques'" and "treasures" that San Diego has to offer. Whether with fashion, dining, or art I enjoy letting others in on new places that define San Diego. I adore dining out with my husband while enjoying a nice glass of wine at the Red Velvet Wine Bar or the roasted jalapeño blackberry margarita from Barrio Star. We love just chilling with our daughter and hanging out with close friends playing board games. Family, fashion, business, music, good food, wine, art, dark chocolate, dogs and laughter pretty much defines me! What would you do on your ideal San Diego day? Wake up, read the newspaper and WWD while loading up on coffee. Head down to Liberty Station to take a class at The Bar Method. Hit some tennis balls with my hubby and daughter. Have a relaxing lunch at either C Level, Bencotto, Cucina Urbana, Barrio Star or Tower 23 with family. End with a ride on Sunset Cliffs, stop to watch the sunset, then home sweet home! What is your favorite San Diego Outdoor activity? Riding bikes, tennis, walking along the bay, and of course shopping, it is a sport, right? Do you prefer burgers and beer or linguine and wine? Any homemade pasta and vino! Latest music purchases on my ipod are... Muse, Depeche Mode, 'Til Tuesday, One Republic, Pink, Christina Perri, The Smiths, Rihanna, Snow Patrol, Astrud Gilberto Visit Sandra at

  1. Wow you nailed all my favorite little shops, especially Cecelia, Maison en Provence! Mission Hills has some fantastic little restaurants for lunch or happy hour when you to replenish the shopping energy.
