Spring is in the air and last Sunday the kids and I hit Ponto Beach in Encinitas for some boogie boarding since it was more like summer was in the air at 82 degrees. The ocean was definitely swimable without a wetsuit.

Perched high up on my father’s shoulders back when I was four years old, I remember the excitement of walking around Balboa Park. With so much to see from performing artists to the lily pond in front of the Botanical Building, even picnicking on the grass was a delight all of its own. Now that I am a mom of five, I continue to treasure the beautiful scenery, the iconic Cabrillo Bridge east/west entrance, gardens and so much more.
