So far this summer, plenty of classics have been screened around town, and the fun continues during the “Classics of Comedy” movie series showing at Birch North Park Theatre, right here in my neck of the woods.

Want to check Street Scene set times on the go? Or need help remembering the name of that Wavves song? Well, now there’s an app for that. Last night, Street Scene launched their exclusive event app for iPhone/iPod Touch users. The free download has event info, directions, parking details, a soon-to-be interactive map and detailed links […]
Sorry, No Tasters When You Tour On YouTube
Need something to tide you over until San Diego Beer Week in November? I just found these cool videos on DRAFT Magazine’s website of behind the scenes tours they took at Karl Strauss and Stone – two of the biggest names in San Diego craft brewing.
Check Out Legoland On Google Street View
For me, Google Maps is a must-have travel tool. I use it to navigate when I’m on the road and I use Street View – the 360-degree photo setting – to get a sneak peek of what my hotel really looks like before I book. Now, I’ve got an even more fun way to use it. Today Legoland […]
Free Family Fun Tuesday Night
Summer nights in San Diego are meant to be enjoyed outdoors. Last week we joined a couple of other families, bundled up our kids and took in a Free Movie in the Park at Viejas Casino & Outlet Center in Alpine, about 35 miles east of downtown right off Interstate 8. The beautiful Viejas Outlet […]

On a recent visit, I found out there’s also a charming, walkable downtown full of cute shops, an awesome slice of Hollywood history meets hacienda, a museum dedicated to rocking out (debuting the first ever MOOG exhibit on Aug. 29) and a thriving, dare-I-say urban, theater scene. […]

Holiday Bowl Tickets on Sale
Every December San Diego rolls out the red carpet for two deserving college football teams for the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl. Many of my favorite memories growing up a sports fan in San Diego were watching Holiday Bowl games. Players like Barry Sanders, Steve Young, and Jim McMahon have turned in memorable performances at these […]
