It’s rock, roll and robots this November in San Diego. From rock legends to hometown favorites, La Jolla Playhouse to the Casbah, November is the month to get indoors and see the myriad ways live music in San Diego rocks.

A Guide to Local San Diego Freshwater Fishing Guides
I’ve been the San Diego area for a few decades and I’ve fished local lakes since I first arrived here, but I wouldn’t think twice about hiring local freshwater fishing guides to put me on fish at these very tough fisheries.
San Diego lakes hold some of the heaviest largemouth bass in the world, but knowing how to fish them and where to catch them can be very challenging to someone who doesn’t know the lakes. There also are giant blue catfish in some lakes and even sturgeon at Lake Cuyamaca. None of the guides listed below mention sturgeon as a target fish, but you might be able to convince them to go try for one at the mountain lake.
Bottom line is that San Diego has a handful of good freshwater fishing guides who can take the guesswork out of fishing these lakes. Most of them offer the latest in fishing gear and lures and know all the latest techniques to catch bass or any fish you might want to target.

Fall and Winter Fashion Trends and Where to Get Them in San Diego
Even though San Diego’s consistent favorable weather might make you think that we don’t shop for the latest fall and winter fashion trends; we certainly embrace the season’s ensembles that fit our active lifestyle and great weather!
At the “Westfield Style Tour,” Stacy London, from What Not To Wear, described San Diego’s style as healthy, colorful, and cheerful and that made me think that the jewel tones for fall and winter will fit perfectly! Some key pieces to buy while visiting San Diego would be, colored denim, a casual-chic jacket, or a gem colored holiday dress.
Some of these items can be found at various boutiques around San Diego after the break.
Art of Elan presents In Your Dreams at the San Diego Museum of Art
The 2012-2013 season of Art of Elan, a unique chamber music concert series held at the San Diego Museum of Art (SDMA), presents In Your Dreams, a quirky, musical journey through the subconscious realm. The programming draws from and beautifully compliments the Expressionist sentiments highlighted in SDMA’s current art exhibit, The Human Beast: German Expressionism, showing now through November 11, 2012.

Mangia, Mangia! World Pasta Day in San Diego!
My love for Italian food started early since I come from an Irish-Italian family and most of our dinners growing up either consisted of meat and potatoes or pasta. Today, my pantry always has a few boxes of pasta ready for the impromptu dinner or a date night at home with what I call Shalene’s Pesto Pasta (comment below if you want the recipe). However, sometimes my wife and I don’t feel like cooking and instead head on out for a delicious plate of pasta…made by someone else. 🙂
Since today is World Pasta Day, I wanted to share my three go to San Diego Italian restaurants for some pasta whether it be a romantic dinner, a family night out or a quick grab to eat while on the go.
